2008 ADULT BASEBALL
MANAGER RESPONSIBLITIES AND PLAYER CONDUCT

The "Player Code of Conduct" which follows shall govern the City of Reno Parks and Recreation Adult Baseball League.
1. NO PLAYER SHALL:
At any time lay a hand upon, shove, strike or threaten an official. Officials are required to immediately suspend the said player from further play, and report such player to the Baseball director. Such player shall remain suspended until his/her case has been considered.
MINIMUM PENALTY: One (1) game suspension, any other suspension or ejection that season and you're done for the year.
MAXIMUM PENALTY: Life suspension and/or assault charges files.
2. NO PLAYER SHALL:
Refuse to abide by an officials decision. MANAGERS are to argue any questioned call only! Any player involved in said play must step aside and let their manager handle the situation.
MINIMUM PENALTY: Probation for remainder of season
MAXIMUM PENALTY: One (1) game suspension and probation for remainder of season.
3. NO PLAYER SHALL:
Be guilty of objectionable demonstration of dissent at an officials decision. Only the manager shall be allowed to have any verbal contact with the official.
MINIMUM PENALTY: Warning by the official
MAXIMUM PENALTY: removal from game, one game suspension if ejected twice in same season.
4. NO PLAYER SHALL:
Be guilty of using unnecessary rough tactics in play of the game against the body or person of an opposing player. All players on plays at the plate must slide. Players not sliding will be ejected from the game. (this will be at the umpires discretion).
MINUMUM PENALTY:ejected from game, warned about sliding rule, no suspension
MAXIMUM PENALTY: If after being warned it happens again two 1 game suspension.
5. NO PLAYER SHALL:
be guilty of physical attack as an aggressor upon any player, official or spectator. Officials are required to immediately suspend player from further play and report such player to the baseball director. Player will remain suspended until his case has been considered.
MINIMUM PENALTY: Suspended from play until severity of case can be discussed with City officilas and length of suspension determined.
MAXIMUM PENALTY: suspension for life and/or assault charges filed.
6. NO PLAYER SHALL:
Be guilty of an abusive verbal attack upon player, official or spectator. Officials are required to immediately suspend player from further play and report such player to the baseball director. Player shall remain suspended until his case can be considered.
MINIMUM PENALTY: probation for remainder of season.
MAXIMUM PENALTY: suspension for remainder of season.
7. NO PLAYER SHALL:
be guilty of appearing to be intoxicated on the field of play, or bringing any alcoholic beverage inside the stadium. Officials are required to immediately suspend player from further play and report such player to the baseball director.
MINIMUM PENATLY: player not allowed to finish game, if no bench players are able to enter the game, the game will be a forfeit.
MAXIMUM PENALTY: 2 game suspension and probation for remainder of season.
8. NO PLAYER SHALL:
be guilty of smoking on or in the vicinity of the playing field while participating in a game.
MINIMUM PENALTY: warning by the official
MAXIMUM PENALTY: removal from the game, if no bench players are able to enter the game, the will be a forfeit.
9. NO PLAYER SHALL:
be guilty using severe vulgarities directed at any player, official, and spectator.
MINIMUM PENALTY: team warning by the official.
MAXIMUM PENALTY: ejection from game and up to 1 game suspension.
10. Any player being placed on probation and reported again for a violation of the "Player Code of Conduct" will be given a minimum penalty of suspension for the remainder of the probation period.
11. Any player ejected from a game must leave the stadium immediately. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the game and an automatic suspension for 2 games for the player.
12. Throwing the bat intentionally, maliciously, or out of frustration is prohibited. Penalty will be an ejection.
13. Participants may be held liable for damages caused by negligence.
14. Team managers are responsible for their players and spectators. Failure to attempt to control team members or fans may result in forfeiture of the game and possible suspension from the league.
15. Suspended player are suspended from all Reno Parks and Rec. leagues. During suspension players not allowed in the stadium, even as a spectator.
16. All participants are governed by the aforementioned rules, which cover all conduct before, during and after the game.
17. The City of Reno Parks and Recreation division has the right to modify any "player code of conduct", rule and/or penalty when deemed appropriate.
